NCIF is one of several industry sponsors of the CDFI Data Project (CDP). This project, funded by the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, is focused on creating a data collection and management system about the community development finance industry. The goal is to improve access to - and use of - the data in order to both enhance the capabilities of CDFIs to serve their communities, and to further attract resources to the industry.
The CDP releases an annual publication based on this data collection. The report titled "CDFIs: Providing Capital, Building Communities, Creating Impact" outlines how CDFIs are having an impact in their communities. At the end of each publication are supplemental brochures on community development banks, community development credit unions, community development loan funds, community development venture capital funds, and microenterprise funds.
