NCIF operates the CDBI Exchange Network. This informal peer-to-peer network of CEOs, CFOs and other participants in the CDBI industry provides best practices in risk management, valuation, corporate governance and development impact analysis. In addition, NCIF searches out opportunities to assist banks within our Network by partnering with investors, depositors and other stakeholders that are interested in the CDBI industry.

As an example of an industry building partnership, NCIF recently partnered with the Initiative for Responsible Investment (IRI) at Harvard University to survey the Operating Account capabilities of Community Development Banking Institutions (CDBI) that work in low-to moderate-income communities. The objective was to demonstrate to the foundation and the socially responsible investment (SRI) community that opening operating accounts with CDBI banks is a safe, efficient, and effective way to support key community development work. The initial publication is provided below along with a listing of each participating institution. The participating institutions responded to a survey that was sent out by NCIF and IRI.
