NCIF has hosted webinars on a range of topics relevant to the community development banking industry. The presentations and reports that were produced as part of this process, as well as some more detail on the webinars themselves, can be found here.

Hurricane Katrina Reponse
In the wake of the devastation in and around New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina, NCIF partnered with the FDIC Minority, Community Development and Non-Branch Banking Task Force, the National Bankers Association, and ShoreBank Corporation (fund advisor of NCIF) to request support for Liberty Bank & Trust, Dryades Savings Bank and United Bank & Trust. These community banks have a long history of working with underserved communities in the region, and were at the forefront of the recovery effort. They were also hard hit themselves in terms of loss of staff and deposits, and NCIF's combined effort focused on helping them with (1) Crisis Response/Getting Operational, (2) Operating Needs Assessment/Portfolio Review and (3) Rebuilding in a Changed Market.
