Christmas Clubs accounts were established in partnerships with local churches as a way to teach young people to save. The bank soon found that adults were eager to join the savings clubs, which pay out just before the holidays and encourage regular savings year-round. The program, now in its sixth year, has changed the savings patterns of its participants and has expanded to several local churches.
